During the summer, my church friends and I went to Samal Island twice. First was on May 1, 2007, a day I’ll never forget because it I was baptized. On that day, I was declared as an “official Christian” this was the most wonderful thing that happened to me. I enjoyed the beach there even though it was full of sea urchins. Many of us were pricked, but despite that, some of us were still able to ride the speed boat.
Our second visit to Samal was when we went to Chema’s. It is a wonderful place because it has a salt water eternity pool, a nice dining area, adorable cottages, and a clean surrounding. Their beach had starfishes instead of sea urchins; it was so nice that I didn’t feel like leaving it even though it’s time for lunch. After swimming, I was amazed to see myself dark colored (I like it!), I guess that proved how long I’ve been staying under the sun.
I can’t wait for the incoming summer. I just hope it would be as fun as the recent summer I had. I can’t wait, I really miss summer.
